What To Do When Your Facebook Page Isn't Growing
This is a common frustration that many small business owners face when they are using Facebook. You experience a lot of growth at first and then it dwindles off.
It can be very frustrating but there are things you can do.
Evaluate Your Content
If your content reach and engagement are down then I hate to say this, your content sucks, or its at least it's not what the people on your page want to see.
This is why it's so important to identify your ideal customer. You need to do ongoing research- what are their pain points? What are their goals? What are their interests?
Depending on when people first liked your page their interests & pain points could have changed so you will need to change and adapt your content.
Incorporate your Facebook Shop and/or Calendar
Facebook has incorporated more and more tools so you can keep your page followers on the platform.
Add your products or services to your Shop. Turn on your appointment calendar so people can easily book appointments with you.
Sometimes it will be necessary and you will have to share a link- don't stress over it, but use the features Facebook provides as much as possible to help keep your followers on your Page longer
Be Authentic
Your followers want real, they want relatable, and they want it consistently. Being transparent helps retain customers and improve ROI.
A recent study reveals that 63% of customers choose authentic brands over those that aren’t as transparent.
With the sheer amount of marketing and advertising out there, people have learned to tune out messages they can’t relate to. Authenticity marketing lets you cut through the noise and stand out to your target audiences.
Facebook Ads
You want to create an ad strategy as part of your ongoing marketing plan not just when you have something to sell.
Facebook ads allow you to easily get in front of your ideal clients. So use them to help you find those ideal clients, turn them into page followers, build a relationship with them by serving them with relevant content, then when you are ready to present them with a sales offer they will be ready to buy.
It's harder to sell your offer to a group of people who don't know you, so use your ad budget to help build a warm audience.
There is a lot of content available online to help with you with Facebook ads or you can hire someone to help you create a custom Ads Strategy (BOOK ONE HERE)
In conclusion, organic reach is down overall and it's easy to blame Facebook's Algorithm as to why you're content is not being shown but the algorithm is designed to show and promote engaging content.
Are you going to reevaluate what you know about your ideal client or are incorporate Facebook ads?
